Tom is surfboard shaper and Patagonia surf ambassador from County Clare. I ventured West to photograph Tom in his workshop in the rural Clare coast for Turf & Grain Issue 3: Makers. Before the shoot, we sat with him over cups of tea and listened to some of his stories, from the monumental Aileen waves off the Cliffs of Moher to his journey into crafting boards, needless to say I was in awe!
